Queridas Sabias,
Today, we went live on Substack for the very first time alongside Alison Rand, the founder of Forty Fifty and author of The State of Midlife — the first research report of its kind on women in this stage of life. And what came out of that half hour was exactly what this community is built for: real data, real talk, and the feeling that you are not, in fact, going crazy.
Or that at least, you are not going crazy alone.
The conversation went deep into Ali’s research methodology, which is worth understanding because it changes how you read the data. She combined over 200 first-person essays submitted to Forty Fifty, five years of U.S. Google search trends, and more than 2,400 AI query responses across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google to build a picture of what women in midlife are actually asking and what they are actually getting back. The gap between those two things is the whole story.
But we wouldn’t want to spoil it for you. So go listen to the whole story on the video recording of our LIVE.
